Coverguard size chart

Coverguard's official size chart for workwear. The manufacturer recommends that you go by the largest of your measurements - if, for example, your chest is M but your hips are L, then L is the safe choice.

Taking measurements

Measure in centimetres, holding the tape horizontally so that it follows the body without being tight.

• Chest: at the widest part of the chest.
• Waist: at the narrowest point of the waist.
• Hips: at the widest part of the hips.

For layered clothing (a jacket worn over a sweater, a lined coverall) it is worth choosing one size larger so that movement is not restricted. Sizes may differ from model to model - for larger orders it is worth requesting a sample for a perfect fit.

A gyártó figyelmeztetése: ügyeljen arra, hogy az adott termékhez tartozó táblázatot használja – a Coverguard modellcsaládjai eltérő kaptafával készülnek, ezért egyes sorozatoknál a termékadatlapon külön táblázat szerepelhet. A 37–47 tartományon kívüli méreteknél (36, 48) a gyártói táblázat nem ad talphossz-értéket; ilyenkor a mért talphossz és a felpróbálás dönt.

Amire a védőlábbelinél külön figyelni kell

• Mérjen munkazoknival: mindig abban a vastag zokniban mérje meg a lábát, amit a munkavégzés során is visel – ez fél számot is jelenthet.
• Hagyjon helyet az ujjaknak: elöl 0,5–1 cm szabad hely kell. Ha a lábujjak folyamatosan nekifeszülnek a merev védőkaplinak, az hosszú műszakban fájdalmat és felhólyagosodást okoz. A táblázat harmadik oszlopa épp ezért fontos: megmutatja, mekkora a kapli alatti belmagasság az adott méretben.
• Mérje meg mindkét lábát: az egyik láb általában nagyobb – mindig a hosszabbik lábhoz válasszon méretet.

A mérést a nap második felében érdemes elvégezni, amikor a láb a napi terhelés miatt kissé nagyobb. Bélelt téli modellnél számoljon plusz helyigénnyel.

A számozott méret a tenyér körméretét jelöli collban (a 8-as méret ≈ 8 coll ≈ 203 mm). Az utolsó oszlop a szabvány szerinti minimális kesztyűhossz: ennél rövidebb kesztyű az adott méretben nem felel meg – ez a mandzsetta hosszát is meghatározza.

What to look out for when choosing?

• A glove that is too large bunches up in the palm and reduces grip; one that is too tight tires the hand and tears sooner.
• If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the smaller one for precision work (assembly, electronics) and the larger one for longer wear or lined versions.
• A kézhossz oszlop akkor segít, ha a tenyérkörméret két méret határára esik: a hosszabb kéz a nagyobb méretet indokolja.
• For chemical protection the cuff length is a separate consideration: decide based on the area to be protected, not on hand size.
