Which gloves protect against electrolyte?
The substance and its concentration decide, not the product name. The manufacturer’s permeation table states how long protection lasts against a given chemical - which may be minutes or hours. A chemical glove chosen without the safety data sheet is a glove chosen blind.
What is the difference between ESD and electrical protective equipment?
ESD equipment CONDUCTS, draining static charge so it cannot damage the product. Electrical protective equipment INSULATES, to protect the worker. They work on opposite principles - swap them and one of the two jobs is certainly not done.
Is separate emergency equipment needed?
A thermal event or electrolyte splash calls for different gear than daily work: heat-resistant clothing, respiratory protection, eye wash. Match these to the emergency plan, keep them within reach, and track their expiry dates on a calendar.
