What is needed for work in public spaces?
High-visibility clothing, with the class decided by traffic speed and visibility conditions. Night work or work beside a motorway justifies a higher class, and the retroreflective surface only works when clean - a dirty vest loses much of its signalling value.
What is the base equipment for work on a tower or roof?
A fall-arrest system: an anchor point verified for load, a full body harness, an energy absorber rated for the free fall distance - and a rescue plan. Missing rescue arrangements are the most common gap, yet suspension becomes life-threatening within minutes.
Is hearing protection needed at events?
Yes for technical staff near the stage, because sustained sound exposure is comparable to that in noisy plants. The usual answer is filtered earplugs, which attenuate while preserving speech intelligibility - conventional plugs make the work impossible.
